Fuel Pump for C-75 Needed

Larry there is a IF part. No auto pump has the same cam follower so when you use the auto pump you have to use the Coupes. So a person is building around it.    Say you have a B17 they build around the parts they have. My way of thinking.

Where was the Corrosion, Under the screen? If so than can be cleaned. Or a Auto pump body used for parts. The cam follower become the orig part to rebuild on..

You're probably correct, and that's why I didn't even try.

Plus, even with the Ercoupe's fuel gauge being right there in the pilot's sightline, there are still cases of coupes going down from fuel exhaustion... so I figured that having the STC's fuel warning light isn't a bad thing.

During my restoration, I found corrosion inside the mechanical fuel pump. Then, it turns out that nowadays a replacement is outrageously expensive. I think the only game in town is the Tempest AF40585 at $1600.00

I decided to replace mine with Alpha Aviation's electronic fuel pump STC . That's $660 and includes everything needed to do the installation and wiring. You do need to pay a little extra for their blanking plate to close off the hole in the engine from removing the mechanical pump, about $40 if I remember correctly.

If you prefer to keep the mechanical pump, I believe it's a 30's era Buick fuel pump at heart. You could try filing VARMA paperwork to get that approved. Try contacting someone like Bob's Automobilia and see if they can identify the pump from photos...?
