Also SN 10 has beeen on and off Barnstormers a bunch of times as a project. And I think through a couple owners. It appears from the pictures to be such a combo of pre and post war parts that I don't see any value in it. Has also been advertised as having an o200 engine. I wonder what can of worms that is?

There are a few serial numbers below mine that are still registered. I know some of them are not flying. At one time I thought mine was the lowest flying but I think I saw that SN 12 is flying. I don't know about the others.

Kevin, do you have any idea what the lowest flying serial number is?

I was told by an old Ercouper that you should put the ashes in a paper bag, tie the bag shut with a long (40 feet or more) piece of cord, tie the other end of the cord to the yoke, and take off with the bag still inside the airplane. When you get to cruise altitude and over the intended target, toss the bag out the window. When the bag hits the end of the rope (now it's behind the airplane) it will burst, distributing the ashes. I have never tried it, but it seems like it will work. Oh, yes, you should reel the bag back in before landing.
