Thanks Bruce. Sounds like your GPH is right on the money. I calculate fuel usage the same as you, after each fill up.
Also, the engine runs great, so maybe I should let things be.

My '46 415-C with the C75-12 and the cruise prop
gets 3,5 gal/hr at 2100 rpm and 4.5 gal/hr at the
2275 max allowed rpm. Fuel use was computed by the
old fashioned method of filling the tank and using the
gallons read off the pump vs hours flown till refill.
Assuming your tach is right, 6-7 gal sounds awfully high
but since all is running well I'd hate to mess up a good
running engine trying to correct it.

Many Ercoupe ads claim that to sell them. Read the Alon/M10 fuel gauge page 2 for accurate data. Fuel flow can vary by two gallons per hour depending on how hard we push them.Our cars will also give better mileage if we slow down. The fuel flow gauge is accurate.

Thanks for the reply. From what I have heard and read, usage should be 4.5 to 5 GPH.
