Thanks. I actually did contact Vernon and he and I are in email dialogue now. So far, he says he has glass-bowled models in 2 sizes. Mine has the metallic bowl and as I think about it, glass sounds like a good idea if it's robust enough. My mechanic approves too. We'll see what Vernon can come up with.

Even though my 'coupe has the gascolator AD complied with, I still managed to crack the input flange where the fuel comes into it. As best I can tell, my options are to find a used one, get the STC'd one from Univair or Aircraft Spruce (~ $300), or get one from Skyport (they sell the cap only for $20) but they're not answering their phone lately. Anybody happen to have one lying around?
