Lubriplate 707

I used an anti-seize compound. I thought I might want to take the propeller off some day. I think it was aluminum based.

Call Continental tech support.

I asked while on the phone, they had no idea.

I think I ran into this before. I don’t remember what we used. I think its just a thin grease.

I would call them back and ask if Lubriplate 707 was ever assigned a mil-spec number .

If it was you can use mil-spec tables to come up with a category, and class equivalent.

I'm replacing the propeller on a 415C with tapered hub Continental C-85 engine. I'm trying to locate a replacement for the Lubriplate 707 grease called out in paragraph 8(a), page 42 of the Ercoupe service manual. I called Lubriplate and was told this grease was discontinued in the early 2000's, but the tech rep could only add that it was sodium and aluminum based. Does that make sense? I've also been told to use a light oil, like 3-in-1, or nothing at all.
What would you use?
