My 415c is a 1946 serial number 2525 with N# NC99902. After the boom years of 1946-47 with nearly 2500 airplanes built and the transfer of ERCO to SANDERSON AVIATION, FORNEY, ALON and more sales and transfers, moves and so on, I think lots of parts and pieces were moved numerous times and the consistency and chronological numbering system went to pot. Don't forget the creation of the FAA out of the old CAA most likely added to the confusion and inconsistent numbering too. Just MHO and best guess

Serial number question, was created by Matt Gunsch
I have been looking at other G models and have noticed that the serial numbers are not in order,
I own serial 5046, it first flew Sept 1, 1950,
A coupe on Barnstormers, N415G, is serial 5052, but it is listed as a 1949 model.
Even tail numbers don't follow a sequence, Mine was N94414, and serial number 5047 the plane after mine was N94418,
yet N94415 is serial 5050 and listed as a 1950

Hmmmm

A&P, IA, PPSEL
too many years GA and Warbird Maint
