Ercoupe 415C Nose Strut rebuild kit.

It's most likely the nose strut Orings. I am going to buy the ones listed in the Ercoupe parts catalogue, and the Univar SK-31A-LB kit. For some reason the kit has one Oring a different size - but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. It was resealed a few years ago so I'll be looking for the Oring size as a possible factor creating the leak.  Thanks.

What problems are you experiencing?

If it's a seal problem, the Alpha Aviation MLG seal kit is a good way to go. Get their optional hone tool so you can make a nice smooth surface for the new cup seals, and make sure to use the new fluid (the new seals use DOT 3 brake fluid instead of red hydraulic fluid).

One word of caution I received from Vernon... There's a snap ring involved with disassembling the MLG strut. Don't lose them! Pretty much everything else can be replaced but nobody has that snap ring in that size anymore.
