That's great help. 1 follow up, has anyone been successful using that existing 337 as backup data for their 337 approval that you are aware of?

The existing 337 is for that aircraft only but can be used as evidence in getting your own 337 approved. Be sure to get it approved before paying big bucks for the battery. Different FSDOs approve differently! The 337 is available somewhere on this site.

I see in the literature that a 337 was completed and approved for a light weight battery. Is it just a case of copying the 337 with the new IA and providing it to the FAA. If that's the case, I see an e tra 10lbs. In my future.
