OK, Alon peculiarities maybe getting me.   Replaced flexible brake lines……. Dated 1995 and 1988!!!!!!

pressure bleeding from main wheel up right wheel then left.   Both side did manage to push fluid thru until it came out master cylinder.  Pedal still went to firewall.  Went back to right side to re-bleed.  Would not push fluid thru was hydraulic locked.  Removed master cylinder top and relieved hydro lock and bleed.  Replaced master cylinder top and pedal still goes to firewall.

Are we missing something in order of events for this single cylinder set up?  We bled them last year after replacing O-rings in master cylinder but only had to bleed enough to refill line at master cylinder.  Had same hydro lock issue then.  This was a full system drain so air trapped A bit somewhere?

I did find and read one post about this and there was one each recommendation pressure bleed and one recommendation vacuum bleed.

I am only starting down the road of A&P and my supervising A&P is scratching his head too.
