Frank - Any chance you can take a cell phone pic of that field approval for the 6950 prop and post it here or text it to me? With the Gov shutdown we are having trouble getting any traction on our request. A previously approved request would be helpful.
Thanks!

Even with the 0-200, my Forney likes the runway. I would not trade my take off run for cruise speed. Mine is a 1400 gross weight machine with more panel than any Ercoupe deserves and weighs in at 1006 pound empty save for 5 quarts of oil. I m not sure how much weight the 0-200 adds over the original C-90, but it is a little on the fat side.

I've always wondered about this issue, thinking, "If I ever got my hands on a nice O-200, what about the propeller issue?" because the 6948 is known to be a pretty seriously climb-oriented prop that's easy to overspeed in cruise.
I did notice that there's apparently an additional STC to install a 69CK-0-52 cruise propeller - which sounds really interesting but... it's brutally expensive!

Randall. I found a document which may be the field approval although I can’t say Inhave ever seen one which applies to my serial number only and includes a flight manual supplement provided by the Atlanta , Georgia filed office. So I guess I am good to go. Mike. ( Frank is my partner/brother).

It was part of the STC as far as I know but will have to research it. Frankly, I don’t care and no one else seems to. Was just annualed in August. It hits static rpm and flies well. The only difference is the pitch. Let me do some looking.

Frank any field approvals in your log history for the prop? This Ercoupe had the 6950 at the time of purchase and had been through many Annual inspections without issue. This IA was the first to catch it. I suspect there are several others in the field that may have the same issue.
