Thanks for the info. Luckily, I got them bled. This is probably well known but it gave me a lot of headache so here’s what I did:
•Attatched 1/8 fitting/tube and catch jar to reservoir
•Pumped fluid up from the caliper until my jar started to fill from the reservoir
•Closed bleeder valve and waited for bubbles to stop coming out of the reservoir tube
•Restore and check brake pedal to see if it’s firm.

Sorry this is a late reply
We have always had trouble bleeding our clevland brakes the way you described.
I found that sucking the fluid from the brake caliper works best
I use this Vacuum bleeder from HF www.harborfreight.com/brake-bleeder-and-...-pump-kit-63391.html
Just hook up the hose to your caliper nipple and pump the bleeder, you will see a good amount of air that was trapped inside the caliper.

The only way I know of is to force fluid in from the bleed nipple on the caliper. On my old British cars I could bleed brakes by opening the bleed nipple, pushing the brake pedal down, then closing the nipple. I tried that on the coupe, but it never worked. Gotta pump it from the caliper.

I had to replace a brake line and now we can’t seem to get the air out of the system.. What’s the most foolproof way to do this? I thought I had it the other day pressure bleeding from the bottom up but my brakes felt mushy the next day.
