Greetings to All!
I too have a new project, a 1947 415-CD.
The previous owner has done a lot of work on this plane over the years. The plane has been inside of a dry heated garage for since 1994, when it was last flown. The updates have been done instrument panel redone, new interior, windows , bottom fus reskinned, Rebuilt engine, ect.ect.
The wings are going to get the Oratex treatment. Anyone else use this?
Good logs, and lots of doumentation. Hoping to complete by this summer.
Dale

FYI, I purchased the 415-C from a previous member. I am also an A&P and PP but have not flown for 30 years back when I owned a 150L. It doesn't have rudder pedals and I didn't want them so I would have more room for my long legs. It has less than 1,400 hrs TT and is in great shape with good paint. It had once been on skis. It once sat for 18 years with 3 hours on it during that time. It has the aircraft and engine logs all the way back to 1946 with the test flight sign off from the company. Came with the original operators manual. The previous owner did a lot of work on it when he bought it and included a GPS, headsets, portable backup radio, canopy cover, and some tools and odds and ends. I had to replace the nose tire and tube and we drained the fuel since it sat for 2 years. The previous owner was great and very helpful.

Purchased a 46 415-C with a C-75 this month from a very nice guy in Indiana. He helped me get it ready for a ferry flight to get an annual. I need 5 hours with a CFI for insurance and hope to be up and running soon.

Good deal! Glad to see some coupes will be going back in the air amidst the stories of those leaving the air permanently. We have some pretty sharp technical experts in the group!
