Many ways to heat up your engine. Automotive dipstick heater is very easy. Light bulb and blankets. I put an EZ Heat pad installed on the oil tank and plug it in. The plug can be on a timer or plug that is connected to internet, so you can turn it on before you get to the airport. Aircraft Spruce carries EZ heaters: www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/e...php?clickkey=3051579

My C85 with 0 200 crank is a fine engine and I am quite happy with it. But when the temperature drops in Connecticut, it takes a long time (> 5 minutes) for my oil temp gauge to budge off the pin (40 degrees). So I have been using an engine heater/blower exhausting into the engine compartment through the nose bowl, but still there may be something better. Do you think I can just heat the oil tank?
