Ron, The image of the "book" looks familiar. Where is it located? I'd like to get a copy.

Thanks!

Here’s the answer from my IA. The neoprene tip was eaten away by auto gas. If you have the stc for auto gas make sure your carb has been overhauled for it. I have been using non-ethanol about 50 percent of the time. It will eat that tip. So my carb is going to be rebuilt to have the brass tip only so non-ethanol will be fine.

I had the exact same problem a couple of months ago...  and new needle and seat in the carb and now zero leak...  Mine was leaking at a pretty good clip...  I have about 100 pictures but I won't show all of them...

I have the same issue with my Stromberg carb. I even had it rebuilt. Still leaks. It will empty the header tank if you don't shut off the fuel valve. I always shut down by closing the fuel valve and allowing the engine to quit before turning off the mags. That way you won't forget. Of course it does not leak (certainly should not leak) while the engine is running, in case you were wondering.
