Mine cracked about nine years ago but I was able to buy a new one for $200. Mine, like yours, was the single bulkhead version, and it's prone to cracking. The new one has two bulkheads, one behind and one in front of the prop. I would call Vernon Gregory and Skyport before I shelled out the big bucks for a whole new spinner setup. I'm not too optimistic, since most used ones are probably cracked, too. Also, make sure no one EVER pushes your plane back on the spinner!
Let us know what you find, I'm sure someday I'll be back in that boat.

I have a 1946 415C Ercoupe with C75 engine. My spinner backplate has a crack and has been declared unairworthy. Univair has informed me that there has been a design change, so that the entire spinner component must be replaced, for $700. Do I have any other options?
