Booked my cabin today!
The people at the Ozark Folk Center are super polite on the phone and the rates for cabins are quite nice. being from the Washington DC area, I wouldn't be able to stay at a Motel 6 around here for these prices.
Looking forward to doing my first major cross-country and meeting up with the group.

Hey folks, I'm excited! so far it looks like we have nearly 30 people and 15 airplanes registered for the fly-in!
We have a great side trip to the Folk Center for the spouses to learn to make a craft, and it looks like about 5 or 6 will be there for that.
Great fly outs to see the Wings of Honor museum at Walnut Ridge, a WW II training base and now a public airport, and then to Gaston's White River Resort on Saturday for lunch. Go to YouTube and search for Gastons. You'll be amazed.
Ice cream and pizza and a great BBQ dinner in a really nice venue with a BUNCH of great music!
There will be drinks and warm cookies available all throughout the event. Our breakfast on Saturday will be open to the public so lots of pilots and come in and admire the Ercoupes.
Looks like a party! If you've ever thought about it, this is the time...
I will order the T shirts on May 1. I will have a few extras. Please let me know of any extras or your intention to register so we can all sport these groovy Ts.

I have a little more information for you!
There will be a craft class for the ladies in the craft village at the Ozark Folk Center on Friday during the time we are flying to Walnut Ridge to visit the Wings of Honor Museum. Nancy Snyder is working with the Folk Centet to have the class, making “bowlies” which can hold hot bowls so you can slurp your soup in the easy chair without burning your hands. There will be a small fee.
Our breakfast on Friday, which is just for our attendees, will feature “omelet in a bag” along with pancakes and sausage. Each person gets a bag with stirred eggs in it, and then there will be various ingredients you can toss into the bag, like green peppers, onions, mushrooms, crumbled sausage, etc. The bag is then put into a pot of boiling water until the egg is cooked. Voila, an omelet!
Don’t forget the pizza and homemade ice cream party Friday evening, the big fly-in breakfast Saturday, a flight to Gaston’s Saturday and the big dinner and hoedown Saturday evening.
All for $60! With a T shirt!
