Exhaust stacks

It’s not noticeable inside the plane, maybe a bit louder outside. Both stacks have the rings for shrouds, one for carb heat and one for cabin heat. If you fly very much, you’ll be trying to tighten the muffler all the time, and the stacks actually wear where the fit in the muffler making it impossible to get th er m tight!

Since there is no muffler with the straight stacks you have to put the heater shroud on the other stack.

I have. Mine burned at the end that fits into the muffler, but I was having issues at the time trying to keep my muffler tight, so I don’t know if the problem was the stack or the muffler.

Since I couldn’t keep my muffler on tight, I finally went with Alon-style straight pipes and have had no problems since. Dawley makes them for the C-75/85. I now have lots of room at the firewall.
