I took it apart today. It separated just at the weld where I had it repaired before. I have a guy on the field who is a master welder. He also drives a funny car/jet truck with 3 fighter jet engines.
The carb heat shroud was still on the aircraft but has an extra hole in it that I can stick my thumb through. The springs are going to require replacement. They’re all stretched to hell. I may end up replacing the shroud as well.
I’m looking at my options to see about doing a better job of supporting the exhaust on the right side.

The left exhaust is problematic. It is difficult to find a known business to repair. WagAero use to do some exhaust repair, but they are no longer. The firm in MN as mentioned below gave me a quote when my left exhaust gave out, but I was able to get a new old stock from Vernon cheaper.
Maybe Vernon has something to help you out.
About 150 hrs after replacing, a crack started in the same area (Alon had a service bulletin that this was a problem). I wound up having a skilled welder to weld the crack and then add a brace to beef it up. Ive put on maybe 250 hrs since without issues.
If Vernon does not have anything, I would ask mechanics at your airport or surrounding airports who they deal with to weld exhausts. Chances are you'll find someone "unknown" that can help you out.
Of course there is Univair. Good luck with that company....

I had cracks in my Alon's exhaust repaired here www.customaircraft.com The firm in Minnesota that used to do them was purchased and no longer does so, at least when I had mine done. I wonder if your carb heat shroud is still inside the cowling? I still see the heat transfer spring on the pipe itself.
