My pleasure Mike,
As a relative "newbie" to Ercoupe/Aircoupe ownership (two years now) I find the EOC and forum a goldmine of information. Hopefully any small contribution I can make will help keep the information and conversations flowing.

Martin-

Thank you for the reply and taking your time to shoot these great pics.

Yes, I compared your clear/specific pics to the ones I have (random interior pics;not specific) from an M10 that was at the 21 EOC that had what I called an "L" bracket.  They look nearly identical, and only on the pilots side.

Vern did not have any, but his word description fit your pictures.

Thanks again for posting these excellent pics.  I can manufacturer from these.

Mike

Hi Mike;
I have what appears to be an original control lock for my 1966 Alon.
These pictures are of my set up. If this is what you are looking for I would bet that Vern Gregory may have one or two.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Martin

Control Wheel Lock was created by Mike Then
Does anyone have a description or picture of our Alon/Mooney control wheel lock?

On my control rods, I have 1/8" holes about 1" forward of the control wheel.  I assume this is for the lock.  My M10 owners manual eludes the lock is on the pilots side.

I once saw an "L" bracket mounted on the panel next to the control rod where a 1/8" rod would secure the control wheel assembly, but that was not a common configuration nor reflected in the parts manual.

Any thoughts or leads appreciated!

Mike
