The best fix, is of course the one that corrects the problem, and that can take some time to trouble shoot. Start at the nose and work your way aft. Put a tow bar on the nose and turn it and see how much slop there is, Check the rod ends on the steering rod, check the nose wheel bearings and tire pressure, Where the steering collar attaches to the nose gear there are peel ply shims, are they worn out ?

It has no rudder pedals, I steer with the control yoke, and the yoke supplies the elevator, aileron and rudder control. I sense too much play in the control yoke and the nose wheel shimmy i assume is a worn bearing or ? Question is "what is the best fix?"

Do you steer with rudder pedals or the control yoke (conventional 3 axis control or the optional 2 axis "coordinated" control)?
